Open up the gates dear God for I am coming home, The clock ticks off the minutes no! I am not alone.My family came to wait with me ,Till Thy sweet voice I hear. I'm waiting, waiting for you, I know the end is near, I thank Thee for the faith I have, I thank Thee for Thy love, I thank Thee for my family Thou art a God of Love. Each moment as the clock ticks I look to see Thy face not now; but soon, it's almost time. My family saw how much I wait and oh so happily, because I knew not very long and soon I would be free. My loved ones here, my loved ones there, Oh what do I loose, I've everything before me and now dear god I choose. Open up the gates dear God for I am coming home; I have no fears for Thou art there and I am not alone. Hear I come dear Father, I see your face quite clear. Open up your arms for me for I am very near. I thank you God for those I love both here and those above, but as I come to be with Thee please bless my sweet sweet love. Look after him and give him peace, and bless my children here. The ones who waited long with me, The ones I know who cared. I thank Thee now, I close my eyes, My body lies asleep, but I'm awake and happily and to Thee God I speak, Open up the gates dear God for I am here at home. Written for Frauka Kpp's funeral
